Links that may earn us a commission

• Amazon links. As an Amazon Associate, RenewRN earns from qualifying purchases. Product links on our gear and book pages carry our Amazon tracking tag.
• Exam-prep and study partners. Some certification and NCLEX prep links (for example BoardVitals, Archer Review, and Mometrix) are affiliate links. If you buy after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are marked rel="sponsored" and routed through our own redirect so we can count clicks.
• Job listings. Nursing job listings on the site come from a job-search partner that pays us when you click through to a posting. The listings are real openings; we never present pay-per-click bids as salaries.
• Tax and professional services. Some referrals (for example travel-nurse tax tools) are affiliate links and are marked sponsored where they appear.
• Education program matching. Where we link to accredited nursing degree or certificate programs, those links may be compensated referrals. We only work with accredited-program partners, and career guidance content is written before, and independently of, any partner relationship.

Links that earn us nothing

• The free CE catalog is 100% affiliate-free. Every course in our free CE directory is listed because a human vetted it as genuinely free and accredited. No provider pays to be listed, and we earn nothing when you take a free course.
• Most CE provider links are plain editorial links. Many providers we link to pay us nothing at all. Those links are ordinary, uncompensated references included because they help nurses. The rule is simple: if a link is not marked sponsored, no one paid for it.
• State boards, statutes, and official sources. Every citation to a board of nursing, statute, or government page is uncompensated. Always.

The rules we hold ourselves to

• Compensation never changes the data. License requirements, CE hours, fees, and deadlines come from board and statute sources and are published exactly as sourced, whether or not a partner is involved anywhere near the page.
• Compliance answers are never paywalled or steered. What your state requires, whether a course counts, and what a lapsed license costs are always answered free, with free options listed first when they exist.
• We do not fake relationships. A link is only marked sponsored when a real paid relationship exists. Editorial links are never dressed up as endorsement deals, and paid relationships are never hidden as editorial.
• Reviews are independent. Provider reviews and comparisons state their criteria and apply them the same way to partners and non-partners.
