Georgia does not mandate a fixed number of CE hours for APRNs; CE is one of several competency options (30 contact hours on the CE pathway). The APRN renewal fee is $65 (+$65 RN renewal). The board is one of up to four clocks: your national certification and any DEA registration renew separately.
| Requirement | Hours | Status |
|---|---|---|
| General CE | 30 hrs | One of several options |
| Nursing Practice | Course-based | Optional |
Renewal deadlines in Georgia differ by license type: January 31 (RN/APRN) or March 31 (LPN) of even-numbered years. Confirm your APRN deadline with the board.

What we verified for Georgia
Board-sourcedSource: Georgia Composite Medical Board, APRN protocol registration, last checked 2026-06-11. Rules change; confirm with the board before relying on this.
Georgia has not enacted the APRN Compact (which is not yet operational anywhere). The Nurse Licensure Compact covers RN and LPN/VN licenses only, so multi-state APRN practice still means a separate APRN credential in each state. Your national certification (AANPCB, ANCC, NBCRNA, or AMCB) and any DEA registration renew on their own cycles, with their own CE math.
