How to Submit Your CE in Delaware

You attest to your CE when you renew and keep your certificates; you only submit documents if the board audits you.

At renewal, a Delaware RN logs in to DELPROS, completes the online renewal application, and attests to CE completion, per rule 9.2.2.1, "the licensee shall submit an attestation indicating the completion of all continuing education requirements for that biennium." The board's renewal page confirms: "During renewal, you are asked to attest that you have completed the required continuing education units (CEs)" plus the practice-hours attestation. Delaware adds one wrinkle beyond pure attestation: CE "is tracked in DELPROS" via a CE Tracker where nurses enter each course (Continuing Education link > Add Course > profession, fields, Save), but this is course data entry only. The board is explicit that certificates stay with the nurse: "Do not upload any CE certificates or practice requirement documentation into DELPROS unless notified that you have been selected for audit." Nurses must also complete Nursys e-Notify workforce data before renewal or the license is placed on hold, then pay the fee by credit card in DELPROS.

Selection: random, individual-basis, minimum 1% of licenses, "The Board will randomly and on an individual basis select licensees for audit within 6 months following the license renewal deadline" (rule 9.6). Notification: "The Board shall notify the licensees within 4 weeks of being selected" (9.6), and per DPR "All notices about professional licenses, such as renewal and audit notices, will be sent by email only." Submission: upload into DELPROS, "If you are selected for audit, you must: upload a copy of the certificate of attendance or completion for each CE course that you entered in the CE Tracker in DELPROS"; practice-hours proof is the Nursing Audit Verification of Nursing Practice/Employment form, which "must be submitted to the Board directly by your employer" (or upload a refresher-course certificate). Deadline: "The licensee must submit documentation within 3 weeks of receipt of notice" (9.6.2). An unsatisfactory audit "shall result in Board action" (9.6.4) under Section 1922 of the Nurse Practice Act (9.8).
