New Hampshire requires RNs and LPNs to complete 30 hours of continuing education per 2-year renewal cycle. APRNs have a higher requirement: 60 total CE hours (30 hours of general continuing-competence CE plus 30 APRN-specific hours, of which at least 20 must be in the specialty practice area and 5 must be pharmacology appropriate to the specialty). Alternatively, current national certification can be used to fulfill the base 30-hour requirement. Licenses expire on the nurse's birthday every two years. New Hampshire is a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) member state, enabling multistate license holders to practice across all compact states.

Track your renewal steps with ProYou report CE through CE Broker, the board's designated reporting system.
A New Hampshire RN completes 30 contact hours of continuing education within the 2 years preceding renewal and reports it through CE Broker, the board's designated system, before renewing. The NH Board of Nursing (Nur) rules set the requirement: a renewal applicant must have “Completed 30 contact hours of continuing education within the 2 years immediately preceding the application” (RN continuing competence under RSA 326-B). Per the OPLC/board, RNs, APRNs, and LNAs are required to upload their continuing education into CE Broker before renewing their license; CE Broker is the board's official CE system (a free Basic account is provided). No certificates are uploaded into the OPLC renewal application itself.

www.oplc.nh.gov/new-hampshire-board-nursingBecause New Hampshire makes you report your CE at renewal, not just attest, you'll need every certificate on hand. Keep them organized in RenewRN so they're ready when it's time to renew, free CE tracking, no card required.
The board reviews the CE Broker record; audited nurses verify their CE in CE Broker. (The OPLC audit-mechanics page is Akamai-walled; the 30-hour requirement is verbatim from the Nur rules.)
