Wyoming offers flexible continuing competency options for RN and LPN license renewal. Rather than mandating a set number of CE hours, nurses can choose from four pathways: 400 hours of active practice, 200 practice hours plus 15 CE hours, 30 CE hours, or passing the NCLEX. APRNs have more extensive requirements including 60 CE hours, 400 practice hours, and current national certification. All licenses expire on December 31 of even-numbered years, with the renewal window opening in October. Wyoming is a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) member state.
